“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”Viktor E. Frankl

I support clients in making sense of emotional challenges, recognizing recurring patterns in their lives, and developing more effective coping skills. I view this process as a safe space where individuals can connect deeply with themselves, feel seen and understood, and reconnect with their inner resources. I approach each relationship with empathy, consistency, and a supportive presence, honoring each person’s unique needs and pace.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Middle East Technical University (Northern Cyprus Campus) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Atılım University. My graduation project, “Self-Efficacy, Character Strengths, and Relapse Tendency in In-Patients with Alcohol and Substance Use Disorder: A Test of Two-Mediators Model,” was conducted at Private Boylam Psychiatry Hospital, where I also gained extensive hands-on clinical experience. My professional training includes Theoretical Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the CBT Skills Training and Supervision Program through the Association of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies. During my graduate studies, I focused particularly on CBT and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), receiving theoretical training from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neşe Alkan and individual psychotherapy supervision from Dr. Kutlu Kağan Türkarslan. In the field of Schema Therapy, I completed the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST)–approved theoretical training program with Dr. Bahar Köse. I have also undertaken practitioner-level training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (Dr. Nevin Dölek) and in approaches to addiction and motivational interviewing techniques (Prof. Dr. Kültegin Ögel). My skills in psychological assessment are supported by training in the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM Disorders – SCID (Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Köroğlu, Boylam Psychiatry) and in the administration and interpretation of the MMPI (Dr. Nihan Tezer Yörük, Turkish Psychological Association). My areas of practice include working with difficulties related to anxiety and depressive mood, interpersonal relationship problems, challenges in forming and maintaining relationships, stress management, coping with traumatic experiences, self-esteem and self-worth issues, emotion regulation, and enhancing psychological resilience. I am a member of the Turkish Psychological Association and the METU Alumni Association, and I remain committed to professional ethics and evidence-based practice in all aspects of my work.
